Ukraine, democracy in well shape
Many voters, lack of obstacles, the first presidential run seems to be a success of the democracy. The next exam is during the second turn and in the way how the relationship between the president and premier will look like.
After the election there will be a change of governement in the Ukraine
Wiktor Janukowitsch won thepresidential election in the Ukraine, gaining 3,48 proc. more of voices than Julia Timoshenko. As a "cohabitation" with the PM Timoshenko will not ensure a normal activity, Janukowitsch will search for a coalition with "Our Ukraine " (former president Jushchetnko), communists and Litvin Block in order to establish a new governement.
The Luakshenko regime increses the repressions towards independent organisations
In the first weeks of February the repressions towards the Polish minority in Belorussia, particularly towards the activists of the independent Assembly of Poles in Belorussia (ZPB), have been increased.
