Poland becomes more and more dependent on the Russian gas

Poland's dependency on gas is 20 percent. Dependence on the Russian gas may become a real danger for Polish energetical security. These are the conclusions from the "Gas debate" that took place in Cracow on the 1st of December 2009. EurActiv.pl was the media partner.

Russia threats EU with gas reduction

Russian prime minster Wladimir Putin warned that Moscow may decrease the gas supply to Europe if Ukraine uses gas from the Russian transit. Ukrainian president Wiktor Jushcshenko said that the Ukrainina-Russian relations concerning gas are dominated by politics.

Legal expert: No never-never land with Lisbon Treaty

Ivo Šlosarčík is a lecturer of European and international law at Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles Univesity, and New York University in Prague. He is an expert on legal issues of European integration, judicial and police cooperation in the EU, and Czech reform of civil service and judiciary. He participated in the seminar on the ways how to influence European legislation in the new legislative framework after the Lisbon Treaty organised by the Institute for European Policy Europeum.
