Twenty Member States will have to return 346,5 million euro of CAP expenditure due to non-compliance with EU rules of inadequate control procedures. European commision will recover 3 millión euro from Slovakia.

European commission approved state aid for Slovak farmers to overcome impact of the current crisis. Support of 3,32 milion euro will take form of a direct grant of up to 15,000 euro.

Majority of mamber states, including Slovakia, consider current tools of market regulation as inefficient. According minister of agriculture Vladimir Chovat they do not offer enough space to react on natural market volatility, recently under attack of speculators.
