NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has called on Greece and Turkey to improve their relations, saying ongoing tensions between the two countries are endangering NATO and EU missions in Afghanistan and Somalia by putting ground troops at risk.
EU ministers backed Czech Republic in visa dispute
EU foreign ministers backed the Czech Republic yesterday in her attempt to remove visa duty for Czechs travelling to Canada. Czech government, however, does not contemplate on adopting strict measures such as introducing Schengen visa for Canada as it does not wish to cause any crisis to mutual relations.

Despite all the assurances from Czech foreign minister Jan Kohout that Canada will not impose the visa on the Czech nationals, the country was hit by surprise today. Visa-free regime was terminated for Czechs as a step to end „misusing“ liberal Canadian asylum system by Czech, mostly Roma, people.
